Abrey Barwise
Staff Interpreter
Abrey Barwise is originally from San Antonio, Texas, and recently relocated to Florida—a move she calls one of the best decisions of her life. As the daughter of two Deaf parents, she has a deep, personal connection to the Deaf community and a lifelong commitment to fostering communication access.
A graduate of San Antonio College’s Interpreter Training Program, Abrey serves as AIDeaf’s Staff Interpreter and Mentor, providing high-quality interpreting services while guiding and supporting fellow interpreters. She combines professional skill with personal passion, all while cherishing her favorite role—being mom to her two-year-old son, the light of her life.
